Willie Báez
Willie Báez was born and raised in the East
Village of New York City. Primarily self-taught, his early works
represent the sensibilities of Caribbean, Mexican and Native American
figure and abstract works in pastel. His range of subject matter,
however, is diverse — an experimentation of various styles
and techniques. Currently residing in Hoboken, Willie continues
to explore works in acrylics on canvas. His latest pieces form
a collection of abstract landscapes called "Solitaire"
demonstrating layers of vibrant colors of single trees on a horizon.
